Who are the Knights?

The Order of the Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded in the United States in 1882, it is named in honor of Christopher Columbus and dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. There are more than 1.7 million members in 14,000 councils, with nearly 200 councils on college campuses. Membership is limited to practicing Catholic men aged 18 or older.

Knights of Columbus Council #7014 – Rockdale

Regular meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm for all members. Officer meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm. Meetings and upcoming events can be found in the K of C newsletter and calendar below:

K of C Council #7014 was established in 1978 with Ike Korenek serving as the first Grand Knight. Our local council exemplifies the mission of the Knights. Council #7014 has grown to be an iconic institution of the Rockdale community, and has provided a large space at the “KC Hall” for all types of gatherings, from charity events for law enforcement officers to cancer victims, to private events from wedding receptions to quinceañeras, to annual events like Christmas Round-up, and everything in-between. They not only provide event space, but they generously contribute to the community through their time and donations. They support our Catholic community in so many ways. The “KC’s” have been the driving force behind the annual Mayfest which raises funds for both the Knights and St. Joseph parish. Please support them in their fund raising efforts. Some of these K of C fund raisers include charity bingo and Lenten Friday Fish Fry’s. They are phenomenal cooks! These men are an integral part of our Parish Community.
