What is The Ladies Altar Society?
We are a group of women dedicated to serving the Church. Our mission is to unite all women of the parish in religious, educational, and social activities; to assist the Pastor in spiritual and material undertakings for the welfare of the parish; to serve as the agency through which woman of the parish shall participate in the diocesan program of Catholic Women and the National Council of Catholic Women; and to further spiritual and material undertakings of the members.
Who can join?
Women of the parish 18 years of age and older, married or single
What does the Society do for the Church?
Take care of the altar – cleaning, flowers, linens
Take care of all liturgical expenses – candles, wine, hosts
Donate to religious education program
Provide gifts to confirmation classes and graduating seniors of the parish
Provide funeral meals
The Ladies Altar Society Christmas Bazaar is always held in December. This is our biggest fund raiser of the year!
Monthly meetings are normally held on the first Monday of each month, starting at 5 pm with a Rosary in RE building. The meeting follows with refreshments.
