The 2021 Clerical Endowment Fund drive was held the weekend of October 16/17. A special collection was taken up, and the opportunity to purchase Clerical Endowments was made available to parishioners. The Clerical Endowment Fund (CEF) was established in 1948 by the Austin Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. The purpose of the Clerical Endowment Fund is twofold: to aid in the education of seminarians and to provide loans to parishes for building programs. Since 1950 the CEF has contributed over $4 million to the education of seminarians. To find out more from the Diocese of Austin, click HERE.
The Clerical Endowment enrollments are available all year and make great gifts. These cards (available in English and Spanish) may be for living or deceased friends and loved ones. Both the donor and recipient are remembered in The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered for them by the Bishop as well as the Director of Seminarians. Regular enrollments are for one year. Perpetual certificates are for a lifetime. Forms will be in the church or in the office if you would like to take advantage of this great opportunity to honor your loved ones in a very special way. If you have any questions you can call Margaret Coker (512-970-8177) or the church office at (512-446-2049).
